External hosting
This website is hosted externally. The personal data collected on this website is stored on the servers of the hosting provider or providers. This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact inquiries, metadata and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website access data and other data generated through a website.
External hosting is used to fulfil our contractual obligations towards our prospective and existing customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in the interest of providing our online services securely, quickly and efficiently through a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where the relevant consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as that consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Our hosting provider or providers will only process your data to the extent necessary to fulfil their service obligations and will follow our instructions regarding this data.

Processing on our behalf
We have entered into a data processing agreement (DPA) with Netlify in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR (Netlify Data Processing Agreement). This is an agreement required by data protection law that ensures Netlify processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR. In particular, the DPA governs the handling of personal data, the implementation of technical and organisational measures, and the rights and obligations of both parties to the agreement.
Server-side data processing in the EU
The server-side functions of this website – in particular the processing of contact form inquiries (validation, spam checks and email delivery) – are executed through Netlify Functions on servers in Germany. Personal data submitted through the contact form (name, email address, message) is therefore processed exclusively within the European Union.
The website's static content (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images), by contrast, is delivered through Netlify's global Content Delivery Network (CDN). Technical connection data (in particular the IP address) may also be routed through servers outside the EU – including the USA. No personal data from forms is processed when static content is delivered.
Data transfers to the USA
To the extent that technical data (e.g. IP addresses) is transferred to the USA through CDN delivery, this takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Netlify is certified under the DPF and is therefore required to comply with European data protection standards. In addition, the DPA incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR to ensure an adequate level of data protection even if the adequacy decision were to cease to apply.

Recipients of personal data
In the course of our business activities, we work with various external parties. This sometimes requires the transfer of personal data to those external parties. We only disclose personal data to external parties if this is necessary for the performance of a contract, if we are legally required to do so (e.g. disclosure of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or if another legal basis permits the disclosure. SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the change from “http://” to “https://” in the browser's address bar and by the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar.
When SSL/TLS encryption is enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
4. Data collection on this website
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This information includes:

- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not combined with other data sources.
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website – collecting server log files is necessary for this purpose.
Contact form
If you send us inquiries through the contact form, we will store the information from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide, in order to process the inquiry and respond to any follow-up questions.
After submitting the contact form, you will receive an automatic confirmation email at the email address you provided. At the same time, a notification containing your details will be forwarded to us.
To send these emails, we use Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), a service provided by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg (“AWS”). The emails are processed through the AWS Region EU (Stockholm, eu-north-1), so data processing takes place within the European Union. The data you enter in the contact form (name, email address, message) is processed through AWS servers and delivered to our email inbox at Tuta (Tutao GmbH, Deisterstraße 17a, 30449 Hannover, Germany). We use Amazon SES and Tuta on the basis of our legitimate interest in the reliable and secure delivery of emails (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have entered into a data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) with AWS that meets the requirements of the GDPR. Tuta processes incoming emails with end-to-end encryption within Germany. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary to take steps prior to entering into a contract. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in effectively handling inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), if this has been requested; consent can be withdrawn at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its erasure, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for storing it no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Pirsch Analytics
This website uses Pirsch Analytics for general visitor statistics and to improve the website. The provider is Emvi Software GmbH, Nickelstraße 1b, 33378 Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany (“Pirsch”). Pirsch operates without cookies and without cross-site tracking: no cookies are set and no personal profiles are created; to identify repeat page views, only an anonymised hash value that changes daily is generated, and the IP address is not stored permanently. The data is processed on servers in Germany.

Cloudflare Turnstile
We use the “Cloudflare Turnstile” service on this website, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”). Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether entries in our contact form are made by a human or abusively through automated, machine-based processing.
For this purpose, Cloudflare Turnstile analyses website visitors' behaviour based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the page containing the contact form. For the analysis, Cloudflare Turnstile evaluates various information (e.g. the IP address, how long the website visitor stays on the page, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Cloudflare.
Cloudflare Turnstile is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its online services from abusive automated harvesting and spam.
